Wendy Andrade is a Brazilian visual artist born in Baixada Fluminense, Rio de Janeiro, whose interests lie in visual narratives that celebrate Black identity and culture. More artist than technician, Wendy uses photography as a medium to challenge and provoke new perspectives for the Black community. His work takes place in a symbolic atmosphere, with the intention of creating a new history and building a memory where beauty is a fundamental element.
